The Office of Information Technology (OIT), was formed in December 2007. OIT reports to the Chief Information Officer and is composed of the combined staffs in the former departments of Administrative Computing, Academic Computing, Media Services and Web Services. The overall mission of the Office of Information Technology is to provide technical innovation and quality support for computer, network and telecommunication services for the DCCC community. Within the OIT Technical Services division, there are three teams supporting server, operations / administration, network infrastructure, telecommunications and web services. In the OIT Support Services division, we have two teams that staff the Support Center, multi-media services and Banner Applications. OIT also works closely with other technology support areas: Learning Center, Faculty Technology Services, Distance Learning and the Library

Summer Projects for OIT in 2010

The Office of Information Technology,(OIT) works with various groups to identify specific requests from faculty,students and staff.  This is in addition to on-going infrastructure upgrades that keep us up to date with technology for our various campus locations. 

Over the summer months we will be working on the following:

  • Single Sign-on for all delaGATE applications
  • Web Study/delaGATE integration
  • Assisting in the development of new Public & Faculty Websites
  • Expansion of the Learning Center at Pennocks Bridge
  • Security offices move to the 2nd floor of Marple
  • Contact Center configuration and implementation our Internet Bandwidth
  • Upgrading Desktop Network Connections
  • Preparing for the Fall semester by gathering information to reimage the PC's and laptops with software to be installed before the start of fall classes
  • Replacing hundreds of older computers and adding many new PCs, laptops and iMacs at all of our locations
  • Installing an email archive system for faculty/staff administrative Groupwise email
  • Installing a print allocation system to monitor and control printing in labs, classrooms, and public areas
